Biography
My work career began at a small ad agency in Fort Worth, Texas as an art director in the early 1980s. Since 1995, I’ve been self-employed as a graphic and web designer, currently as owner of Oxygen Design in Hansville, Washington.
In 2011, I began painting – with Carmen Lund at the Silvermine Arts Center, where I received the Watercolor Award in that year’s Student Exhibition. At Silvermine, I also studied drawing with Will Nathans and painting with David Dunlop, and exhibited and sold work in the school’s “Signed, Sealed and Delivered” show. After Silvermine, I started taking watercolor classes with Christy Gallagher at the Rowayton Arts Center.
I’ve taken part in ongoing workshops with noted watercolor masters David Dewey in Owls Head, Maine (plein aire) and the late Charles Reid. Since moving to Washington State, I have taken classes and painted with John Adams.
